Ladies only - Our Philosophy

In our society today it is increasingly important that we are all aware and empowered to protect ourselves. Women, in particular, need to have the state of mind and confidence to recognize potential risky situations. It is important they have the strength, knowledge and skills to diffuse, escape or fight themselves out of trouble in order to make good an escape.
The ladies fitness and self defence classes aim to do just that.

They provide a safe, friendly, women only, atmosphere to train using the latest fitness concepts building core strength and flexibility.

The exercises are tailored to meet the needs and abilities of individuals whilst being challenging and rewarding. Alongside this self defence techniques are taught using a range of key strategies to prepare women for potential confrontation. This also includes increasing personal awareness in order to help predict and prevent potential risks.

 

 

Development

The ladies class is suitable for women of any level of fitness who would like to start exercising or try something a bit different. The class is informal and sociable putting newcomers at ease.

Whilst the class is taught as a whole the training level is tailored to meet the ability of individuals within the class, allowing for personal guidance during the session. It takes a developmental approach, going at an individuals own pace whilst challenging them to take the next step in their training.

The classes will not only change body shape and increase fitness, it enhances confidence and motivation to manage other areas of life in a more positive way.
 


 

Class Details

The female only classes we offer are The ladies fitness and self defence class which runs on Wednesdays and Saturdays alongside the children's kick boxing class making it even easier for Mum's to train whilst their children are participating in martial arts, this class is always taught by a female instructor and it is conducted in a private room. We also offer a female only Kickboxing class this is taught by a Male instructor and is on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

We have a female only class specifically designed for the student to
learn at their own pace and in a relaxed environment. Some of our ladies train in both mixed and ladies only, others just mixed and others in just the ladies classes, the choice is yours.

The classes start with a warm up. The main body of the session always incorporates
core fitness training to build up strength and flexibility, for example, a circuit using equipment within the gym. Boxing, Thai Boxing and self defence techniques are also used. The session can include discussion about self protection issues. The sessions are varied which helps to increase motivation and will power reducing the risk of becoming bored and giving up!
